This is the final image
This is the original picture from Chinatown, New York. The man was playing checkers, way to involved to pay any attention to me while I was taking his picture.
I cropped the image square, used the adjustment brush in Adobe ACR to get rid of the bright light on the upper left corner.

The additional steps I took in Photoshop were some dodging and burning on the face, sharpening, a bit more contrast, blurring the upper left section and adding a frame around the image
