Things are not looking good at the old factory sites in Ansonia.
The roof has collapsed in one of the buildings and the others are not faring so much better either. Rust, decay and destruction all over….Do make great pictures 🙄
My good friend, Ted Roth arranged a short tour for us at this amazing place. The buildings used to house the Winsted Hosiery which at one point was the largest hosiery manufacturer in the state. Now two of the main buildings are occupied by artists and the other two is currently being rebuilt. Among other uses they will be the home of the American Mural Project. I have taken a walk in Waterbury with my friend and fellow photographer Ted Roth on a nice, cold April day. We have come across some interesting spots in the town, some nice, some less so and some downright ugly. Enjoy !
